Guide to escaping the monastery in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Learn how to get the keys, collect blood, and decide Pious' fate with Brother Antonius.
Walkthrough
- 1After induction, Brother Antonius will introduce himself. Learn from him or skip his tour.
- 2Seek out other novices in the courtyard gardens to identify Pious.
- 3To complete monastery side quests, live as a monk without questioning novices about Pious. To leave quickly, speak to novices and then accuse Antonius of being Pious.
- 4Once Antonius admits to being Pious, he will propose an escape plan. You can kill him or agree to the plan.
- 5If you agree to the plan, acquire the monastery keys from the Prior by pickpocketing or finding them on a shelf in a storeroom behind the kitchen.
- 6On your way out, find the paper in the kitchen and order the blood to arrive the next day.
- 7Go to bed until dawn.
- 8Collect the blood from the kitchen when no other priests or monks are present, ideally during morning prayer or before breakfast.
- 9Notify Pious that you have collected the keys and blood. Failure to do so will result in being stuck with daily monk duties.
- 10Eat with the others and complete your duties.
- 11After evening mass, meet Antonius in the dormitory or follow him there if he leaves early.
- 12Follow Pious out of the monastery after he has dropped the blood.
- 13Once outside and undetected, decide Pious' fate: kill him or take him to Rattay.
- 14If you take him to Rattay, the Bailiff will imprison him. Wait in the jail house until morning for your possessions to be returned.
Tips
- Taking the tour with Antonius is optional; skipping it speeds up the process.
- The monastery life is less exciting than fighting bandits and Cumans.
- The keys to the monastery can be found on a shelf in the storeroom beyond the kitchen.
- Collect the blood from the kitchen when priests and monks are scarce, such as during morning prayer or before breakfast.
- Ensure you inform Pious about collecting the keys and blood to avoid endless monk duties.
- If you choose to take Pious to Rattay, he will resist.
