Complete the An Oath is an Oath quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Follow our guide to bombard Talmberg, storm the walls, and negotiate the release of Lady Stephanie and Sir Radzig.
Walkthrough
- 1When you are properly rested, fed, and your attire is in good condition, speak with Sir Divish about the siege plans.
- 2Go to Sir Robard and wait with him while the trebuchet is loaded.
- 3Once the trebuchet is fully loaded, use the lever to fire it.
- 4Speak with Sir Robard after a successful hit on the walls.
- 5Sir Robard will inform you that the bombardment will continue for a couple of days. Use the time dial to wait for two days if you have nothing else to do.
- 6Return to Sir Robard. You will discover that Istvan Toth has shown no weakness in his defence.
- 7Ensure you are fully rested, nourished, and battle-ready before speaking with Sir Robard to begin the siege.
- 8As the battle begins, run with the other men to storm the walls. If you are not confident in your combat ability, let other soldiers climb the ladders first to absorb enemy attacks.
- 9Once atop the battlements, do not rush ahead. Fight your way to the outer bailey. Meet enemies at the gate as many will rush in through the inner bailey.
- 10Fight through to the inner bailey until most of the enemy are defeated. A cut scene will follow.
- 11In the cut scene, an agreement is established: Istvan Toth will be allowed to go free if he releases Lady Stephanie and Sir Radzig in exchange for Erik.
- 12Sir Radzig will ride with Istvan Toth until Skalitz to ensure no one follows him. Ride with Lord Capon to collect Sir Radzig. Stay beside Lord Capon to hear his dialogue.
- 13After riding a certain distance, a cut scene will follow in which Henry and Sir Radzig discuss the events.
- 14After the cut scene with Sir Radzig, another cut scene will follow in which Henry meets his adopted father in a dream.
- 15Henry wakes up in Pirkstein, and the chapter ends.
Tips
- Let other soldiers take the initial brunt of the assault on the walls if you are not confident in your combat skills.
- Do not rush ahead once you are on the battlements, as you can become vulnerable to attacks from the sides and behind.
- Take the initiative to meet enemies at the gate of the inner bailey to prevent them from overwhelming you.
