By default, there's no crosshair when you're using the bow, which can be tricky at first. You need to get a feel for where the arrow's actually going. The game does have a sort of invisible aiming point, and the screenshot below shows you roughly where it is. Keep in mind, the longer you hold the draw, the more the aim will drift side-to-side, so timing is key.
