Since the release of Grand Theft Auto VI, multiple updates have introduced new weapons to both single-player and online modes. These weapons are available from the start of the game and can be upgraded with attachments like expanded clips, suppressors, and grips. Some are practical, while others are more novelties.

This section details the weapons available for download:

Slot 1 - Handguns

• Vintage Pistol — DLC: The "I'm Not a Hipster" Update. Clip: 7 rounds / 14 rounds. Notes: Has the same power and fire rate as the standard Pistol but holds fewer rounds.
• SNS Pistol — DLC: Beach Bum Update. Clip: 6 rounds / 12 rounds. Notes: This is a very small pistol that doesn't do a lot of damage.
• Heavy Pistol — DLC: The Business Update. Clip: 14 rounds / 36 rounds. Notes: Has roughly the same power as the Combat Pistol but fires slower. It also holds more rounds.

Slot 2 - Machine Guns

• Gusenberg Sweeper — DLC: Valentine's Day Massacre Special Update. Clip: 30 rounds / 50 rounds. Notes: This is an old-style Tommy Gun from the 1930's. Has decent power but can't be upgraded further than adding an expanded clip.

Slot 3 - Assault Rifles

• Special Carbine — DLC: The Business Update. Clip: 30 rounds / 60 rounds. Notes: The only difference between this and the regular Carbine Rifle is the look.
• Bullpup Rifle — DLC: The High Life Update. Clip: 30 rounds / 60 rounds. Notes: A different looking weapon with a slightly faster fire rate than the Carbines. Probably has the same power too.

Slot 4 - Sniper Rifles

• Marksman Rifle — DLC: The Last Team Standing Update. Clip: 8 rounds / 16 rounds. Notes: Although it can be outfitted more than other Rifles, this weapon is actually kind of weak. The scope doesn't zoom in, and it usually takes more than one hit to kill someone.

Slot 5 - Melee Weapons

• Bottle — DLC: Beach Bum Update. Notes: A broken bottle that can be used to stab someone.
• Antique Calvary Dagger — DLC: The "I'm Not a Hipster" Update. Notes: A fancy looking knife.

Slot 6 - Shotguns

• Musket — DLC: Independence Day Update. Notes: An old-school musket from the 1700's. Has decent power but takes a long time to load between shots.
• Heavy Shotgun — DLC: The Last Team Standing Update. Clip: 6 rounds / 12 rounds. Notes: A different version of the Combat Shotgun but holds fewer rounds.

Slot 7 - Heavy Weapons

• Firework Launcher — DLC: Independence Day Update. Clip: 20 rounds.
