Advanced Tips and Information

The White Dots

As you cruise around Los Santos, you'll sometimes see little white dots pop up on your radar. These are just random pedestrians you can chat with. They don't give you any cash, gear, or missions – they're purely there to make the city feel more alive. So, feel free to say hi, but don't expect any gameplay benefits!

Propane and Gasoline Tanks

Keep an eye out for propane tanks scattered around the map. The small red ones will explode if you shoot or even kick them. The larger ones, which can be dark red or white, will shoot out a jet of flame when shot. Hit them enough times, and they'll go up in a big boom that's sure to attract the cops. You'll also find big gasoline tanks at gas stations or sometimes being hauled on trailers on the freeway. Causing one of these to explode can create some serious chaos on the road!

Securicars

These armored vans, known as the Brute Stockade in GTA V, can be a nice little payday if you jack them or blow them up. Just be aware that there's a different type of Stockade that only shows up during specific Random Events later in the game.

100% Completion List

Want to achieve true mastery in GTA V? Here's a breakdown of everything you need to accomplish for that coveted 100% completion. You can check these off under the 'Stats' tab when you pause the game.

Main Story Missions

• Complete all 69 Main Story Missions, from the opening "Prologue" all the way to one of the final missions like "Something Sensible," "The Time's Come," or "The Third Way."

Hobbies and Pastimes

• Complete 42 activities in this category. This includes:
• Getting a Lap Dance at a Strip Club.
• Completing all five Street Races.
• Completing all four Sea Races.
• Completing all six Off-Road Races.
• Shooting Range: Earn at least a Bronze medal in all 18 challenges across the six weapon categories.
• Flight School: Achieve at least a Bronze medal in all 12 lessons.
• Parachute Jumps: Complete all 13 Parachute jumps (these count as two activities). This includes all seven Helicopter jumps and all six Base jumps.
• Sports: Play one round of Golf (score even par or better), play one game of Tennis, and complete all three Triathlon Races.

Strangers and Freaks Encounters (Franklin Only)

• Complete 20 Strangers and Freaks encounters. This includes:

• Successfully performing 8 out of 15 Knife Flights.
• Robbing at least one Store.
• Watching a movie at a Movie Theater.
• Using the services of a Prostitute.
• Playing with Chop.
• Purchasing a car through the Internet.
• Buying five money-making Properties.
• Performing a Booty Call.
• Doing the following Friend Activities: Going to the Bar, visiting the Strip Club, playing Darts, and going to the Movie Theater.
