Master Part 171 of the Grand Theft Auto VI walkthrough. Learn how to steal the Police Transporter and acquire three Gauntlets for 'The Big Score' mission.

This section covers two preparatory missions for "The Big Score" in Grand Theft Auto VI: "Stingers" and "Gauntlet," both part of the Subtle Approach.

Walkthrough: Stingers (The Subtle Approach)

Your objective is to steal a Police Transporter equipped with Stingers. Head to the Davis Police Station and locate the Police Transporter among other police vehicles. You must sneak in and steal it, avoiding three officers: two to the north and one near the van. Do not use the chain-link door by the towing business. Instead, use the raised area with benches next to the station to climb over the wall and land near the van. Sneak up behind the lone officer near the van and knock him out to avoid a Wanted Rating. If spotted, you'll need to evade the police. Once you have the van, drive it to a spot under a bridge near the Vanilla Unicorn and park it to complete the mission.

100% Score Requirements: Escapee - Steal the Police Transporter and escape within two minutes. Not a Scratch - Deliver the Police Transporter without any damage.

Walkthrough: Gauntlet (The Subtle Approach)

Your next task is to acquire and modify three Gauntlet cars for the Heist. Each car acquisition has the same requirements. It's recommended to use Michael for this due to his financial resources for modifications. You will receive a text with images showing where to find the specific Gauntlets. While street-found Gauntlets can be used, the pictured ones are easier to locate.

1. Gauntlet #1: Located on top of a parking garage in Pillbox Hill, specifically the red and white garage on Peaceful St. north of its intersection with Vespucci Blvd.
2. Gauntlet #2: Parked near the CaCa Store in Rockford Hills, along Portola Dr., close to the Vangelico Jewelry Store.
3. Gauntlet #3: Parked in an angled space on Fantastic Pl. in Mission Row, across from the Templar Hotel at the southwest corner of Fantastic Pl. and Vespucci Blvd.

After acquiring a Gauntlet, take it to a Los Santos Customs for modifications. The game will designate the one at Los Santos International Airport, run by Hao. Select the "Gold Preparation" option and any other desired mods. It's advised to purchase all Extras in addition to the Heist Prep. Once modified, carefully drive the car to the Lock-Up on Elysian Island. Park it and leave the Lock-Up to finish the mission.

100% Score Requirements: Mapped - Deliver the Gauntlets pictured in the email. Not a Scratch - Deliver the Gauntlets to the Lock-Up with no damage, including the drive to Los Santos Customs and from there to the Lock-Up. No repairs can be paid for. Pimped Out - Spend at least $17,000 on modifications. The Heist Prep costs $11,000, so an additional $6,000 is needed. Purchasing all Extras and a paint change will cost around $26,300.
