Item Rank Chart: Equipment

Understand that Item Rank is a hidden statistic affecting enemy levels in the Item World. The red numbers on the chart indicate base enemy levels for normal items at Rank 0 with no enemy strength stars. For example, an Ultimus at level 0 will have enemies around level 171.

Recognize that Item Rank also influences the items found on the Bonus Gauge and equipped by enemies. Higher ranked items appear as you progress deeper into the Item World.

Know that leveling an item to 80 or more before reaching floor 100 will result in an Item God 2 appearing on that floor. This Item God 2 will be equipped with the next rank item. For instance, an Item God 2 in a Yoshitsuna will have a Baal Sword equipped.

Be aware of the three different Rank 40 weapons, each with unique acquisition methods:

The first Rank 40 weapon (marked with a *) is obtained by diving into the Rank 39 weapon, leveling it to 80+, and stealing it from the Item God 2.

The second Rank 40 weapon (marked with **) is acquired by researching a Rank 40 Netherworld and defeating the Overlord once discovered.

The third Rank 40 weapon (marked with ***) requires finding the Legendary Weapon mystery room in the Item World, which is random. If you have a character with Weapon Mastery of 40 (normal) or 100 (Carnage equivalent), talk to the weapon to receive the corresponding weapon type.
