Walkthrough
- 1Begin character creation in Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin.
- 2Choose the Deprived class.
- 3Select a Gift during Character Creation at the hut in Things Betwixt. Available gifts include the Life Ring (increases max HP), Human Effigy (restores Humanity), Healing Wares (assortment of healing items), Homeward Bone (returns to a Bonfire), Seed of a Tree of Giants (enemies react to invaders from other worlds), Bonfire Ascetic (raises the challenge of an area around a Bonfire), or Petrified Something (trade for items like Old Whip or Twinkling Titanite). You may also choose no gift.
- 4The Deprived class starts with the Imported Set in your inventory, providing a small measure of defense.
- 5The Dagger is the first weapon you can use with the Deprived's low starting stats.
- 6You can also use either the Infantry Axe or the Hand Axe in two hands without needing to upgrade your stats, which is useful for completing the game at Soul Level 1 (SL1) or focusing on other stats first.
- 7Once created, you can Level Up at the Emerald Herald in Majula using gathered Souls to further customize your build.
