Battlefield Hardline Saiga .308 unlocks at $22,800 for criminals. M82 .416 unlocks at $100,000 for both factions.

Saiga .308

Summary: The Saiga .308 has slightly higher damage at all ranges but a much shorter drop-off compared to previous guns. It has a slower muzzle velocity (over 100 m/s slower) and experiences a higher 15 m/s² gravity value, but has slightly less vertical recoil. In the 28 April patch, the vertical ADS (aim down sights) recoil was reduced by around one third for both the Saiga and the PTR.

Trivia: The Saiga is based on Kalashnikov's AK47 assault rifle pattern, identifiable by its shorter magazine and conventional semi-grip rifle stock. The game's data files specify that the Saiga .308 in Battlefield Hardline uses Soviet 7.62mm.

M82 .416

The M82 .416 was added in the update with the Robbery (DLC (downloadable content — extra missions or items released after launch)), but the expansion is not required to access it.

Summary: The M82 .416 delivers a maximum damage of 90, insufficient for a one-hit kill but likely to finish off injured targets. It has a minimum damage of 55, resulting in a two-hit kill (body shots) or a one-hit kill (headshot (a shot that lands on the enemy's head, usually an instant kill)) at any range. In Hardcore mode, it can kill with a single shot to the chest/arms out to over 120 metres. It has perfect accuracy (zero spread) for stationary aimed fire, no spread increase per shot (SIPS) for follow-up shots, and a very high muzzle velocity. The M82 suffers from major recoil, five times more vertical recoil than other snipers, and significantly slower recoil recovery. Its magazine holds only five rounds, and reload times are very slow. The weapon has poor accuracy in unaimed hipfire due to its length and weight. No muzzle attachments or foregrips can be used to improve its stats. You need 20 kills with it to unlock optics (or use an unlock voucher from a Battlepack) and another 30 kills (50 total) to access the accessory slot.

Patched: In the Betrayal update on 1 March 2016, its rate of fire was reduced to around 60 RPM, preventing spamming.

Trivia: The Barrett M82 was their first design, entering production in 1982. Successive improvements gave rise to the M82A1, M82A1M, and M82A3. With modifications, the M82 was adopted by the US Army in 2002 and designated the M107.
