Alright, let's talk about the sidearms in Battlefield Hardline. Specifically, we're going to break down the damage numbers for the pistols, because knowing which one hits hardest and when can seriously save your bacon in a firefight. We'll cover the .45 ACP pistols like the 45T and M1911A1, and touch on the .40 S&W too. Keep in mind these stats are for consoles, and things might be a bit different on PC.
The game's seen a few patches that have tweaked these pistols, so the numbers you see might have changed over time. We'll try to keep you up to speed on the major adjustments.

Patch Changes Explained
The .45 pistols got some love in the Criminal Activity update (June 16th). Both the M1911 and 45T saw their maximum damage boosted. However, the M1911's damage started dropping off sooner, while the 45T's damage stayed strong for a bit longer. The .40 Pro also got hit with nerfs to its drop-off distance and minimum damage around the same time.
Later, in the November 2015 patch, things changed again. The M1911 and 45T got their minimum damage increased significantly, from 15 to 28. This meant they could deliver a three-hit kill at longer ranges. The M1911's drop-off start also moved back to 10 meters. The .40 Pro also saw its minimum damage buffed from 10 to 25, and its drop-off distances were reverted.
The Getaway DLC brought even more tweaks in January 2016. The 45T's drop-off range expanded from 10-25 meters to 15-40 meters. The M1911 saw its drop-off end increase from 20 to 30 meters. These changes mean the 45T can now achieve a three-hit kill out to 32 meters.
Other Available Sidearms
Besides these .45 ACP and .40 S&W options, you can also equip the FN57, G17 Race Pistol, or Dual vz.61. For something a bit different, there's the non-lethal T62 CEW taser or the tracking dart pistol.
Focus on the 45T
- Ammo: .45 ACP
- Capacity: 10+1 rounds
- Fire-rate: 320 RPM
- Reload: 1.28 seconds
- Unlocks: Available at the start for both factions.
The 45T, after its patches, delivers a maximum damage of 45. It's capable of a three-hit kill all the way out to about 32 meters. Compared to other Enforcer sidearms, it's got manageable vertical recoil, but watch out for its high horizontal recoil. The decent magazine size is a plus, and it comes standard with a Mini red-dot sight.
Key Patch Notes for 45T:
- June 16th Patch: Max damage increased to 45. Damage drop-off end extended by 10 meters to 25 meters.
- November 3rd Update: Minimum damage increased from 15 to 28, extending the three-hit kill range by 5 meters.
- January 2016 (Getaway DLC): Damage drop-off ranges adjusted to 15-40 meters. Now achieves a three-hit kill out to 32 meters.
45T Trivia
The HK45, which the 45T is based on, is a pretty interesting piece of hardware. It was designed by Heckler & Koch as an entry for a Joint Service Pistol competition back in the day. It's known for its ergonomic design, with adjustable backstraps and a Picatinny rail for attachments like lights or lasers. The HK45 Compact Tactical (HK45CT) is a smaller version, and the
