Guide to Part 39 of Ark 2: Navigate the treacherous Pyramid, solve Sphinx riddles, and defeat challenging bosses to claim powerful loot.

Alright, let's dive into Part 39 of Ark 2! We're starting off with a bit of a choice regarding a monster named Rayburn. You'll have three options: kill him, let him go, or break the eggs. For the best reward, pick the middle option – breaking the eggs. This will earn you an [Emerald] accessory. It's a Level 0 item with DEF 7/7 and has a neat effect that recovers allies.

After that, we'll head back to the Muhad bar. Chat with Rata; he's got more story for us and will lead everyone to the Saryu Tribe camp. Your next objective is to rescue Rata's mother from Tukae Cave, which is located in the southern part of this area.

As you venture further, you'll encounter various enemies. Keep an eye out for Bats, which are Level 80. Don't worry too much about their Counter stat, but be cautious of their Level 1 Paralyze Breath. Deeper in the cave, you'll find three exits. The NE exit leads to a serpent battle and an [Iolite] accessory. The SW exit has more serpents and a [Black Suit] armor. This Black Suit is fantastic, boasting 34 max DEF, so it's definitely worth grabbing, though only Shu can equip it. The NW exit leads to another bat encounter.

You'll also find a room (NW) where an injured dragon is held, which is related to the 'Mysterious Job Interview' job. Another room to the east contains a mandatory fight against the wanted monster Gualde and his Will o' Wisps.

Once you're done here, return to Rata in the nomad camp. The Pyramid will then be accessible for exploration. Just a heads-up, you won't be able to leave the continent until after you've completed the events inside the Pyramid.

Pyramid Exploration

Inside the Pyramid, you'll find several valuable items: a Light Saber, an Abuser, a Delta Guard, and a Hell Crusher.

The Pyramid features a series of riddles and tile puzzles. If you solve the riddles correctly, you can avoid unnecessary battles. Here's how to navigate it:

  • Riddle 1: What creature walks on 4 legs at morning, 2 at noon, 3 at evening? The answer is HUMAN.
  • Riddle 2: What is the name of the cave to the east? The answer is TUKAE CAVE.
  • Riddle 3: What does the 'G' in your monetary system stand for? The answer is GOZ.
  • Riddle 4: What is the opposite of Wind power? The answer is EARTH.

After successfully answering the first four riddles, you'll find a healing room. Head north to a tile puzzle. You need to step on the correct tiles to progress. Stepping on the wrong ones will alert enemies, leading to a fight with mummies. If you get it right, you'll land safely near some chests.

For the first tile puzzle, take the rightmost of the two side-by-side tiles. This will drop you down to chests containing the [Light Saber] (LV 12/14, ATK 33/36; On Attack Recover HP) and [Abuser] (LV 4/14, ATK 22/42).

Return to the area where you encountered the third riddle (about the monetary system) and go left into another sliding tile room. This time, from the two side-by-side finger tiles, take the lower one. This leads to a stairway upwards. Up there, you'll face two more riddles:

  • Riddle 5: "Which of these is released from the ground?" The answer is BIRD.
  • Riddle 6: "Death Hound," "Dolid," "Dragon Fly." What comes next? The answer is EVIL.

Note: After the initial Pyramid events, you'll be able to leave the continent again.
