Star Ocean: Till the End of Time Part 86 covers battle trophies like 50,000 battles, 77,777 damage, and recovering 77,777 HP.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Fight Over 120 Minutes (BT-297): This trophy can be obtained while auto-leveling First Aid. The entire process will take approximately three hours.
  2. 2
Win by a Margin of 5~1 HP (BT-047~051): This refers to the total HP your party has at the end of a battle before recovery. To achieve this, adjust the Defense (DFP) of characters like Adray or Peppita so they only take 1 HP of damage from enemies on Vanguard III. For Peppita, equip an Elven Cloak and a Charm of Insight (or refine the Elven Cloak once) to reach 19 DFP. For Adray, equip two Yellow Talismans to reach 39 DFP. Save your game before finishing a battle, as post-battle recovery can negate the trophy. Load the save file if you don't achieve the desired HP margin.
  3. 3
Win with All Allies Paralyzed (BT-045): The easiest method is using the Rabbit Ears Chalice to self-inflict paralysis. If you missed the chalice, you can wait for a future playthrough or use an alternate method. One alternative involves a poisoned Fire Zombie in Round 1 of Single Battle - Rank D at the Arena. Use a character around Level 50 with a fire-elemental weapon (or Cliff with Fiery Tackle) and keep healing the zombie until it paralyzes you with its normal blockable attack. You need to get paralyzed while the zombie's HP is below 3376; use Scan Enemy to monitor its HP. Avoid blocking to ensure you get paralyzed.
  4. 4
Win with All Allies Frozen (BT-046): Use Nel's Lightning Chain on the Yuan-ti in Round 1 of Single Battle - Rank C at the Arena. Cast it just as the Yuan-ti uses Ice Needles. Ensure the Yuan-ti is near death but not defeated, as Lightning Chain may hit it once or twice before you are hit by Ice Needles.
  5. 5
Hit with Battle Sphere 5 Times (BT-295): This trophy has a small chance of triggering when you hit a large boulder with a Battle Sphere. It is unlikely to trigger with smaller boulders. Create a separate save file in the Kirlsa Caverns to attempt this repeatedly.
  6. 6
Remain With Fury 15 Consecutive Times (BT-232): Synthesize a weapon using Ori and an Illegitimate Book, then allow Porcupines to kill you. Load your game afterward to recover your synthesis kits.
  7. 7
50,000 Battles (BT-005): This is likely the last battle trophy (BT) you will obtain if aiming for 300. You can achieve this organically through multiple playthroughs and numerous battles; approximately 5,000 battles can be obtained in a single playthrough with diligence. No experience (Exp) boosts are necessary. Using a different party composition in each playthrough can add variety. If grinding by triggering battles and running away, avoid doing so too early if you aim for other specific BTs. You can achieve 100 battles in about 22.5 minutes. However, be aware that some console configurations (like SCPH-39004) may crash after 3-20 minutes of this farming method, while others (like SCPH-90004) may not. Completing battles normally seems to avoid these crashes. Grinding 100 battles daily would take over a year to reach 50,000 battles (estimated 94 hours for 25,000 battles).
  8. 8
1,000,000 Button Presses (BT-054) & Defeat 50,000 Enemies (BT-037): These are the most time-consuming BTs after reaching 50,000 battles. Grinding too early for 50,000 battles will prevent you from obtaining these.
  9. 9
77,777 Damage (BT-244): For a manual method, fight Bullfrog Beasts and Spawns on Sphere L182-191. Use Level 10 Magnetic Field at 175% with an Attack Power (ATP) of around 7,350 (using Rad Bots as fodder). A Dragoon Laser with three Battle Orbs (BoPs) is effective. Use the Guard formation with Maria in the first slot. Max Fury also provides a slight benefit. The Gutsy Bunny is a relatively safe option, but be cautious of Stinking Gas. For an auto method, use a stunned and petrified Red Dragon that is continuously healed by two other characters. If an enemy is petrified while stunned, the stun effect persists. Characters like Mirage, Cliff, Peppita, or Adray with max ATP can reach the required damage range. An auto-fire controller is recommended due to Fury damage buildup (for Mirage, Cliff, and Adray) or excessive damage output (for Peppita). Elemental weaknesses cannot be exploited for this BT, as elemental calculations occur last in damage computation, resulting in even damage figures.
  10. 10
Recover 77,777 HP (BT-235): You are highly likely to achieve one of the HP recovery figures listed below when playing through post-game Sphere. Multiply your current HP (with Star Talismans and possibly a Health(+) Berry) and use the appropriate healing method from the chart. The chart provides specific HP recovery amounts and the corresponding healing methods (e.g., Level 9/10 Healing, Healing Device Mk3, Verdurous Potion). The chart also lists associated values like 'B' for Health+ Berries, 'b' for Health Berries, and numerical values indicating potency or quantity.

Tips:

  • When facing the Thief at the start of the section, remain still if they attack. Your Fury gauge will be at 100%, allowing you to block fast attacks.
