Alright, so after that opening movie, you'll find yourself in a bit of a practice battle. Don't worry, it's just a Battle Sim! Your Salamence is super strong here, so just use Earthquake once or twice to take out that Metagross. Turns out, your real partner is a Level 10 Eevee.

Now, head left and chat with Lily (that's your mom!) and Professor Krane. Lily's gonna ask you to look for your sister, Jovi. Professor Krane will suggest you check out your P*DA in your room. Think of the P*DA as your Pokemon Digital Assistant – it's how you'll get emails and stuff.

Take a moment to explore the Pokémon HQ Lab and get the lay of the land. Upstairs, there's a TV. Watching it will clue you in on the mysterious disappearance of the S.S. Libra cargo ship near Gateon Port. Once you've poked around and talked to everyone, head to your room. Grab the P*DA off the table, and while you're there, snag 3 Potions from the chest. You'll also get Battle CD 33 later in the game, after you've freed Phenac City.

As soon as you try to leave your room, you'll get an email from Professor Krane. He thinks you should talk to Adon about Jovi. So, head back to the second floor and find him. If you can't spot him right away, he's usually hanging out under the tables in the bottom-left corner of the TV room. Adon's guess is that Jovi might have headed over to Dr. Kaminko's manor, which is a pretty big, strange place southeast of the HQ Lab. Chobin, her friend, might be there too.
