Alright, so you've made it to Pyrite Town! Before we dive into the main stuff, let's get you sorted with the local Poke Mart. It's pretty standard, but it's always good to know where to stock up. You can heal your Pokémon here for free, which is way better than paying $100 at the Pyrite Hotel, although the hotel does give you some goodies like 3 Great Balls, a Focus Band, and a Paralyze Heal if you're feeling spendy.

While you're in town, keep an eye out for a police officer talking to some punks named Trudly and Folly. This is a good moment to challenge some of the local Trainers or head to the Pyrite Colosseum if you're up for it. We'll cover the Colosseum more in its own section, but for now, just know it's another place to battle and heal.

Next up, you'll want to head into the ONBS Building. Make your way to the second floor and watch the news show. After that, find Secc in his office on the same floor. He'll tell you about Cipher's desert lab and that you need to take a Data Rom to Nett. Oh, and there's a lost girl named Kandee on this floor. Reunite her with her mom on the third floor, and she'll give you a Soothe Bell as a thank you. It's a nice little bonus!

Head to the top floor to find Nett. Detro is guarding his door, but he'll let you in eventually. Give Nett the Data Rom. He'll mention it'll take a while to analyze. Bitt will then suggest checking out the Rock Poke Spot, one of Duking's discoveries, to find some wild Pokémon.

As you leave the ONBS building, listen in on Trudly and Folly. They're talking about their boss and a transmitter, which might be important later. You can also snag Battle CDs 40 and 22 from the Researcher's and Duking's houses, respectively. After the Snag Machine is stolen, more Battle CDs become available on different floors of the ONBS building: 38, 36, 24, and 21.
