Navigate Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness with expert tips on battling Lovrina's team, using the Purify Chamber, and deciphering the Data Rom. Your ultimate guide!

Alright, let's talk about some of the tougher opponents and what to do after the big showdown. Lovrina's team can be tricky, so here's how to handle them. Her Luvdisc might seem tough with its speed, but its Water Gun attack isn't very strong thanks to its low Special Attack. Beautifly's Thief move could be annoying if it hits your Flaaffy, potentially paralyzing it with Static. Roselia is a real pain with Leech Seed and Mega Drain, constantly draining your HP. Plus, its Pin Missile can really hurt your Grass, Psychic, and Dark-type Pokémon. Don't worry too much about Luvdisc and Beautifly; Flaaffy's Thundershock should take them down pretty quickly. For Roselia, try using Espeon's Confusion or Houndour's Ember to beat it fast. Just be super careful of Delcatty's Shadow Rush – that move hits HARD and can do major damage to your team.

After you defeat Lovrina, she'll retreat and drop a Data Rom. Grab that and head for the elevator. You'll be sent back to the HQ Lab. Keep in mind, after you destroy the Cipher Key Lair, you can grab Battle CD 44 from the building across from the Cipher Lab.

Back at the Pokémon HQ, you'll find out the Purify Chamber is finally ready! Professor Krane will want you to test it out. Just walk onto the chamber to bring up the Purify Chamber screen, then back out of it. From this point on, you can access the Purify Chamber at any PC, but if you want to actually Purify a Shadow Pokémon, you'll need to go to the Pokémon HQ.

So, what's Purification? Once you capture a Shadow Pokémon, you need to reopen its heart so it can return to normal. The old way was to just have the Shadow Pokémon spend a lot of time with a Trainer, letting its heart gradually open up. The Purify Chamber is a totally new concept – instead of constant one-on-one time, it lets Shadow Pokémon hang out with regular Pokémon, helping them Purify naturally. Pretty neat, huh?

After that, Krane will ask you to find Datan upstairs, but he's not there. Turns out, he's outside in the southeast part of the HQ Lab. Go chat with him, and you'll learn the Data Rom Lovrina dropped is too protected for him to crack. The good news? Krane thinks Nett over at ONBS in Pyrite Town can totally help decipher its contents. So, your next move is likely heading to Pyrite Town!
