Location: Pokemon HQ Lab (2)

The game begins with a Battle SIM where your Salamence faces Sim Trainer Losten's Metagross (LV50, Steel/Psychic). Ground-type moves are effective against Metagross. The outcome of this battle does not affect the game.

You start with a LV10 Eevee knowing Tackle, Bite, Tail Whip, and Sand-Attack.

Explore the lab and talk to researchers.

Ride the elevator to the second floor and go to Professor Krane's office.

Talk to Lily (your mother) and Professor Krane. Lily asks you to find Jovi, who has been missing.

Professor Krane instructs you to pick up a P*DA from your room.

Go to your room in the northeast corner of the first floor of the residential wing.

Open the chest on your desk to find the P*DA.

The P*DA has functions like E-mail and Strategy Memo, with more functions like Shadow Monitor and Spot Monitor added later.

Check your E-mail from Krane, which suggests talking to Adon, who was playing hide-and-seek with Jovi.

The chest at the foot of your bed contains 3 Potions.

Find Adon upstairs in the room next to the lounge. He will tell you that Jovi went to Dr. Kaminko's House and mark it on your map.

As you leave your room, a scientist will direct you to watch the ONBS news on the lounge TV (northwest room) to learn about the missing S.S. Libra cargo ship.

Before leaving Pokémon HQ Lab, save your game.

Exit Pokémon HQ Lab and walk around the yard. Talk to people; one of them will battle you: Supertrainer Aferd with a Sentret (LV5, Normal).

Follow the sidewalk to the left and collect two Antidotes from the chest at the end before heading to Kaminko's House via the World Map.
