Melemele Sidequests

Start at the Hau'oli City Marina and follow the main road west towards Ilima’s mansion.

Before reaching the mansion, enter the town hall. Speak to the middle reception lady to receive a Shell Bell if you spoke to her previously. This item restores HP with each attack.

Head into Ilima’s mansion. After speaking with his father, go upstairs to Ilima’s room.

Before entering Ilima’s room, head left past the Machamp to find a Zygarde Cell (7) in the corner.

Agree to help Ilima when he asks, and he will take you to the Trainers’ School for a Pokemon battle.

Ilima’s Pokemon are Gumshoos (Level 15, Normal) and Smeargle (Level 16, Normal). His Pokemon have Normalium Z, allowing them to use Breakneck Blitz. You can use Fightium Z. Smeargle knows Water Gun, Ember, and Leafage.

After the battle, return to Ilima’s room. He will give you an Everstone, which prevents Pokemon from evolving.

Head outside and go to the Pokemon Centre. If it is night, find a Zygarde Cell (6) behind the tourist near the entrance. Otherwise, make a note to return later.

Follow the road east from the Pokemon Centre. When the fence on the right ends, head right to find the shopping mall.

Inside the mall, head right from reception to the Gracidea store. Speak to the top clerk to receive a free Gracidea item, which changes Shaymin to its Sky Forme.

North of the Gracidea store is the antique shop, Antiquities of the Ages, where you can buy items for legendary Pokemon. To the left are Move Tutors.

Further left is the Battle Buffet. Pay to enter and defeat trainers within 10 turns for better rewards.

To the left of the Battle Buffet is a stage. Depending on the time of day, you may find an Ace Trainer hosting the Alola Ride Show (reward: 5 Great Balls) or a Grimer triggering a cleanup mission (reward: TM48 Round).

Head to Route 2, past the Pokemon Centre. Go up the slope past Beauty Krystal.

To the left, smash rocks with Tauros Charge to find a Star Piece at the far end of the path.

Go into Hau'oli Cemetery. At the farthest end, if it is night, approach the woman riding a Machamp above Pokemon Breeder Ikue to receive TM56 Fling.

To the left, below the end of the hedge, find a Zygarde Cell (9).

Return to Route 2 and head north towards the motel area. Go to the north-western most part of the car park, near the truck, to find a Zygarde Cell (8).

Return to the Route 2 Pokemon Centre and head into Verdant Cavern.

Make your way to the Totem’s Den at the very end. In the north-east corner, after fighting pouncing Pokemon, pick up the Zygarde Cell (10).

Enter the Totem’s Den. Use Tauros Charge to go up the eastern path.

After smashing the final rocks, inspect the outcrop below for a hidden Energy Root.

Above the pedestal, grab TM46 Thief, which lets you steal held items.
