Alright, so you're heading to the Valley Windworks in Pokémon Platinum. While that's your main goal, there are some new Pokémon you can snag around here that are totally worth checking out. You'll find Buizel, who's a Water-type but honestly, he's kinda 'meh.' Shellos, on the other hand, is a really good catch, especially since its evolution is Water/Ground type – super useful if you didn't pick Piplup as your starter. Then there's Pachirisu, an Electric-type that's pretty weak, so maybe just grab one for your Pokédex.

When you're ready to move on, you'll need to talk to a Team Galactic Grunt outside the Windworks to start a battle.

Info: This Glameow is a couple of levels higher than in previous games, but don't sweat it. You can still take her down pretty easily. If you have Rock Smash or any Fighting-type moves, now's a great time to use them. Honestly, though, pretty much any attack will do the job.

After you beat the Grunt, he'll run into the Windworks and lock the door behind him. You'll need to figure out how to get inside and deal with him.
