A complete walkthrough for Pokémon Platinum, guiding you through the new area, Fuego Ironworks, and Route 224, including trainer battles and Pokémon encounters.
As soon as you enter the new area, you will meet Marley, a young girl with a level 59 Arcanine that will join up with you. Use Defog to make it easier to battle, as not doing so will lower your accuracy. To get to the end of the cave, first go North until you find some boulders. Use Strength to move them out of the way, but do NOT push them north, or you will have to exit and re-enter for them to reset.
Once at the top, you will find two trainers. Battle them, and continue on to the right. Fight two more trainers and then keep going to the right to find a boulder that you have to push right until you can go down. After the boulder are two more trainers and a set of stairs you have to go down.
When you are down the stairs, go to your right to find two more trainers and then head down the steps into the maze. Keep going on the path until you reach the next set of stairs. Go up them and fight the last two trainers, and then head to your right until you find stairs that are going up. Go up and then right to find the exit of this area. At this point, Marley should leave you. Head up the stairs to your right to reach Route 224.
