Boss: Galactic Grunt

  • Pokemon: Croagunk lv 31 (Poison/Fighting)
  • Info: Psychic attacks are very effective against Croagunk due to its Poison/Fighting typing. Porygon or Kadabra/Alakazam with Psybeam can defeat it easily. Ground and Flying attacks are also effective.

Route 210 North Pokemon Encounters:

  • Morning/Day/Night (Normal Grass): Meditite (20%/20%/10%), Bibarel (20%/20%/20%), Machop (15%/15%/15%), Swablu (20%/30%/20%), Scyther (15%/5%/5%), Machoke (10%/10%/10%), Hoothoot (N/A/10%), Noctowl (N/A/10%)
  • Surfing: Psyduck (90%), Golduck (10%)
  • Good Rod: Magikarp (65%), Barboach (35%)
  • Super Rod: Gyarados (65%), Whiscash (35%)
  • Pokéradar (your minimap with nearby blips and threats marked): Bagon (12%)
  • Ruby Version Exclusive: Zangoose (8%)
  • Sapphire Version Exclusive: Seviper (8%)
Tips
  • Machoke is a good Pokémon to catch if you don't want to train a Machop or plan to trade.
  • Swablu and Scyther are exclusive to Pokémon Platinum.
  • The first stretch of Route 210 North has long grass, preventing bike use.
  • Hidden ninja trainers are present but are weak.
  • The northern part of Route 210 North is covered in fog, which lowers accuracy for all Pokémon. A Pokémon with the move Defog (learned from Solaceon Ruins) is recommended to clear the fog.
  • There are many trainers on the bridge; bring plenty of Potions and Revives.
  • You can reach Celestic Town without Defog, but it is recommended.

Celestic Town Item House:

  • Poke Ball: 200
  • Great Ball: 600
