Learn how to defeat School Kid Harrison and Christine in Pokémon Platinum's Trainer School. Get tips on levels, items, and strategies to win your battles.
Alright, welcome to the Trainer School! This is a great spot early in your Pokémon Platinum journey to get some easy experience and practice your battling skills. Inside, you'll find a couple of trainers ready to test you, plus your rival is here too. Don't forget to grab the X Attack in the upper left corner!
Walkthrough
- 1First things first, head inside the Trainer School. You'll see your rival hanging out. Chat with him to hand over that parcel you've been carrying. He'll give you a Town Map in return – it's not the most useful thing, but hey, it's a freebie!
- 2Take a peek at the blackboard for some helpful tips. Then, turn your attention to the two trainers standing to the right. They're perfect for getting some extra EXP.
- 3After you defeat the male trainer (School Kid Harrison), make sure to talk to him again. He'll toss you a free Potion, which is always handy.
- 4Now, let's talk about the trainers themselves. You'll face School Kid Harrison, who has a Starly lv 6. This little guy likes to use X Speed at the start of the battle to boost its Speed and often uses Quick Attack. It's a good idea to have a Pokémon that's at least level 5 or higher before you challenge him. If things get a bit hairy, having a Potion or two on hand can save you.
- 5Next up is School Christine, who has a Bidoof lv 6. This Bidoof is pretty standard, but Christine has a trick: she likes to use a Potion near the end of the battle. Make sure your Pokémon is at a similar level and you've got a Potion ready just in case.
Tips
- Don't forget to pick up the X Attack located in the upper left corner of the school. It can give you a nice boost in battle if you need it.
- After beating Harrison, talking to him again nets you a free Potion. Always good to grab free items!
- The trainers here are great for leveling up your Pokémon before you head out to Route 203. Aim for your Pokémon to be around level 6-10 before challenging your rival.
- Experience Points from battles.
- A free Potion from School Kid Harrison after you defeat him.
- An X Attack from the item in the corner.
