Understand the Battle Frontier rules: most legendary Pokémon are banned, and your Pokémon have a maximum level of 50. Pokémon at level 51 or higher will automatically scale down to 50. Pokémon below level 50 will remain at their current level.

Do not use duplicate Pokémon on your team; each must be unique.

Assemble a team with a variety of moves and suitable Pokémon. Recommended move combinations include Toxic + Leech Seed + Substitute for Grass-types, status ailment moves like Confuse Ray, Thunder Wave, Hypnosis, Will-O-Wisp, or Toxic, and synergistic moves like Rain Dance + Thunder or Sunny Day + SolarBeam. Common powerful moves include Ice Beam, Surf, Wood Hammer, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, and Brick Break, with elemental punches like Fire Punch, Ice Punch, and Thunderpunch also being useful. Recovery moves like Roost, Recover, and Synthesis are essential.

Equip your Pokémon with effective items. Leftovers recover HP each turn, useful with Substitute. Life Orb boosts attack by 100% but drains 10% HP per turn, best used with abilities like Technician (Scizor) or Huge Power (Azumarill, Medicham). Focus Band has a chance to prevent a KO attack, leaving the Pokémon at 1 HP, good for fast Pokémon. Scope Lens increases critical hit chance, beneficial for moves like Slash or Crunch. Big Root doubles HP recovery from draining moves like Leech Seed. Choice Band boosts Attack by 50% but locks the Pokémon into its first chosen move. Choice Specs similarly boosts Special Attack by 50% but locks the Special Attack move.

Utilize berries strategically. Chesto Berry combined with Rest provides an immediate heal. Sitrus Berry with Belly Drum maximizes attacks quickly. Perism Berry cures confusion, useful against Swagger. Pecha Berry cures poison, effective against Toxic.

Focus on a small party of 3 Pokémon with diverse movesets for battle facilities. For example, Magmortar can learn Thunderbolt, Fire Punch, Earthquake, and Brick Break, making it a versatile sweeper when equipped with a Life Orb, prioritizing Speed and Attack.

Consider a stall Pokémon strategy, such as Torterra with Wood Hammer, Leech Seed, Toxic, and Substitute. With Leftovers, it can use Substitute to absorb damage while the opponent is weakened by Toxic, prioritizing HP and Speed.
