||In-Game Trades||

Discover all four in-game Pokémon trades in Diamond and Pearl! Find out where to get Abra, Chatot, Haunter, and Magikarp by trading specific Pokémon.

Hey there! So, besides trading with your friends or using the fancy GTS, there are actually some cool trainers in Sinnoh who'll trade Pokémon with you directly. It's a neat way to snag some specific Pokémon you might be missing. Let's break down who they are, where to find them, and what you'll need to offer!

Oreburgh City - Abra Trade:

First up, head to Oreburgh City. Look for the second condominium building – it's a residential place. Inside, there's a woman who's willing to trade you an Abra. What does she want in return? A Machop. You can catch a Machop on Route 207, which is just north of Oreburgh City. She'll even throw in an Oran Berry with the Machop, which is a nice little bonus!

Eterna City - Chatot Trade:

Next, make your way to Eterna City. Find the condominium right next to the Pokémart. Inside that building, you'll find a trainer who wants to trade. They're offering a Chatot in exchange for a Buizel. You can find Buizel chilling on Route 205 or hanging out at the Valley Windworks.

Snowpoint City - Haunter Trade:

In Snowpoint City, make your way to the house located in the upper-left corner. Here, you can trade a Medicham for a Haunter. Medicham can be found on Route 217, which isn't too far from Snowpoint City. Quick heads-up though: this Haunter is holding an Everstone, so it won't evolve into Gengar when you trade it unless you remove the stone first.

Route 226 - Magikarp Trade:

This last one is pretty unique! Head to Route 226 and look for a house smack-dab in the middle of the route. Inside, a Hiker will offer you a special German Magikarp. For this trade, you'll need to offer up a Finneon. Finneon can be caught using the Good Rod or better on several routes, including Routes 205, 218, 219, and 220.
