Learn how to defeat the Homo Gorleo boss in Metaphor: ReFantazio. This guide covers its attacks, weaknesses, and the best strategy to win.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Both Leg and Wing are weak to Wind attacks (e.g., Cyc).
• Wingbeat attack is wind-based and resisted by the player.
• Spin Slash inflicts more damage than Wingbeat.

Phases:

1. Initial Phase: Player attacks deal minimal damage. Guard and wait for a cutscene to gain new powers.
2. Mid-Fight: After gaining powers, use Cyc on the boss. Target the Leg and Wing, both weak to wind, to weaken its attacks.
3. Healing Phase: The boss will consume an apple to heal itself. These apples can be targeted to prevent healing. Gallica can also assist in removing the apples.
4. Final Phase: Continue attacking the weakened boss and its parts until defeated.

Strategy:

• Initially, focus on guarding and waiting for the cutscene that grants new powers.
• After gaining powers, use wind-based skills like Cyc on the boss and its weak points (Leg and Wing).
• Exploit the Press Turn System: landing critical hits or hitting weaknesses grants extra turns.
• Prioritize destroying the Leg and Wing to significantly weaken the boss's attacks.
• When the boss uses Devour to heal, target the apples to prevent it from regaining health.
• If the apples persist, Gallica will offer to remove them.
• Manage your health carefully, using items or healing spells (like Dei) when necessary.
• The reward for defeating Homo Gorleo is Gorleo’s Apple, which can be sold for money.
