Zorba Boss Guide

Master the Zorba boss fight in Metaphor: ReFantazio! Learn Zorba's attacks, weaknesses, and the best strategies to overcome this necromancer and his summoned Corpsethralls.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Zorba: Resistant to Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind. Immune to Dark. No significant weaknesses listed, but takes Light damage.
• Corpsethralls: Weak to Fire and Light attacks.

Phases:

1. Zorba primarily summons Corpsethralls (up to two at a time).
2. When two Corpsethralls are present, Zorba may use Madness Curse to buff them.

Strategy:

• Zorba will often use his turns to summon Corpsethralls. Prioritize dealing with these minions as they can overwhelm you.
• Corpsethralls are weak to Fire and Light attacks. If you have the Dragon's Indignation sword upgraded, its normal attacks are Fire-based, which is MP-efficient for dealing with the undead.
• If you have a Healer, be aware that the Corpsethralls can exploit their Strike-based weakness.
• Avoid letting Zorba and his Corpsethralls get too many actions; focus on controlling the battlefield.
• Zorba's direct attacks include Mudoon (single-target dark) and Kandera (single-target electric).
• Bondage Curse inflicts Paralysis, which can render a character useless. Remove this status effect if possible.
• Madness Curse buffs the Corpsethralls with Rage, increasing their damage output but also making them take more damage. This is a key moment to focus fire on the buffed minions.
• Zorba himself is resistant to the main elements and immune to Dark. Light damage (like the Hama spell) is effective against him and also against the Corpsethralls, making it a valuable asset in this fight.
• Be prepared for Zorba's final trick: a spell that resurrects a Human. After the fight, you'll proceed to the Homo Avades boss.
