Follow our guide to complete the Pagan's Dilemma side quest in Metaphor: ReFantazio. Learn where to find the Breath of Fresh Air and claim your reward!
Alright, so you've made the Hushed Honeybee Inn in Grand Trad your home base? Awesome, that means you've unlocked a bunch of side quests, and one of the first ones you'll likely stumble upon is called "Pagan's Dilemma." As soon as you step outside the inn, you'll probably see a worried-looking NPC called the Mustari Man. He's got a real problem: his daughter is sick, and the only thing that can help is a special item called the Breath of Fresh Air, which he can't get himself from the church.
He'll ask you to grab it for him, and this is where you step in! Just a heads-up, though, this quest has a deadline of 6/16. If you don't finish it by then, poof, it's gone. So, let's get this done!
Breath of Fresh Air Location
First things first, you need to get that Breath of Fresh Air. Head over to the St. Fermis Church, located in the northwest corner of the first area of Grand Trad, Sunlumeo Street. If you've got the map open, you can fast travel right to Sunlumeo Street and then just look for the church building. Once you're inside, make your way straight to the altar at the front. There, you'll find the Sanctor.
Now, the church won't sell the item to the Mustari Man because of his race, but they'll sell it to you. Be prepared to shell out 500 Reeves for it, so make sure you've got the cash on hand. After you've bought the Breath of Fresh Air, it's time to head back to the Mustari Man, who's waiting for you back on Sunshade Row, right outside the Hushed Honeybee Inn.
Pagan's Dilemma Rewards
Once you hand over the Breath of Fresh Air to the Mustari Man, you'll get your reward. It's a "Rusted Accessory." You'll need to take it to any shop to get it appraised, and it seems like the actual accessory you get is pretty random. Basically, it's a basic accessory that'll bump one of your stats by three points. On top of that, you'll also get +4 Tolerance, which is one of those handy Royal Virtues. Nice little boost to start with!
