Kokasados Boss Guide

Learn the Kokasados boss's attacks and weaknesses in Metaphor: ReFantazio. Get strategies to counter Poison Breath, Gacyclo, Peck of Death, and more.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weak to Pierce attacks. Consider bringing a Gunner and/or Knight.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Standard Attacks
   • Kokasados will use a variety of wind and physical attacks.
   • Poison Breath: Inflicts Poison, which is generally not a major threat.
   • Gacyclo: Tier 2 wind magic hitting the entire party. Can be dangerous if your party is weak to wind.
   • Cyclone: Heavy wind damage to a single character.
   • Powerful Pulveriser: Heavy physical (Strike) damage to a single character.
   • Thunderstrike Thrust: Medium physical Electric damage to one character and lowers their Defence for 3 turns.
   • Peck of Death: This is the most dangerous move. Kokasados targets a character *without* Rakukaja active and instantly KOs them. The game isn't over if your protagonist is KO'd by this.

Strategy:

• Prioritize defeating Kokasados quickly to minimize exposure to its instant KO move.
• Ensure your party has decent wind resistance to mitigate Gacyclo and Cyclone damage.
• Use Rakukaja on your key characters to defend against Thunderstrike Thrust and, more importantly, to prevent Peck of Death from instantly KO'ing them.
• If you don't have Rakukaja, keep your health high with healing skills like Medi or use items like Fairy Dust to recover from potential damage.
• Attempt to steal the Serum Gloves from the boss before defeating it.
• The boss is weak to Pierce damage, so characters with Pierce-based abilities like Gunners and Knights will be very effective.
• Once Kokasados is defeated, you will be finished with Gracia Forest.
