Substory 56

When you reach Chapter 4 and unlock the Another Life feature, make your way to Gion. Look for a large gate on the southeastern side of the area. You'll spot something on the ground near it. Approach it to discover it's a diary, which will kick off Substory 56: Finders Weepers.

Interact with the diary to start reading. The first prompt will ask for your advice. Choose the option: All love is precious.

After selecting your answer, you absolutely must exit Gion completely. The southwestern exit is the most direct route.

Once you're back in Gion, return to the diary. Read the next entry and prepare for another choice. This time, select: Try getting to know him.

Again, you'll need to leave Gion entirely. Use the southwestern exit.

Return to the diary's location one last time. After reading the latest entry, you'll be prompted for your final piece of advice. Choose: Better to be simple and direct.

After this, leave Gion one more time. Upon returning, you'll find two people at the diary's spot. Watch the ensuing scene to complete the Substory.
