The Goro Goro Kitchen is a cooking minigame in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii where players can prepare various dishes to improve their character. There are up to three minigames involved: Starting a Fire, Slicing and Dicing, and Skimming the Scum. The quality of the dish is determined by performance in these minigames.
Starting a Fire: Players must hold a button to blow air, then release it to stop a cursor within a gauge. Landing the cursor in the red area strengthens the fire the most, leading to a higher quality dish. Higher difficulties reduce the window for the red area.
Slicing and Dicing: This minigame requires players to press button combinations as they appear on screen. The combinations become longer and more complex on higher difficulties. The combinations are fixed, allowing players to memorize them for easier execution. More ingredients chopped increases dish quality.
Skimming the Scum: Players use a ladle to remove scum from a pot of liquid. Hold the button to dunk the ladle, move it to collect scum, and release to remove it. The ladle moves slowly in the liquid, so it's best to only submerge it for closely grouped scum pieces. More scum removed increases dish quality.
