Learn to play the Buyo Dancing minigame in like a dragon ishin, available from Chapter 3. Costs 1,000 Mon per play at the Nichibuza.
Walkthrough
- 1Head to Rakunai and locate the large, purple building in the northeast.
- 2Approach the southern side of the building to trigger the "Nichibuza’s Newest Fan" Substory. You will play the minigame on the easiest difficulty during this Substory.
- 3After completing the Substory, you can visit the Nichibuza building to play Buyo Dancing on any difficulty. Each play costs 1,000 Mon.
How to Play:
- On the easiest difficulty, use the directional pad. On all other difficulties, use both the directional pad and face buttons.
- Press the required direction or face button as the white bar approaches the end of the circle.
- A perfect timing will result in "Beautiful" appearing on screen. Different grades are given for successful and unsuccessful hits.
- Your score is in the upper right corner, with the goal to pass the song next to it.
- A flower below your score fills as you hit notes. When full, press L1/LB to initiate a bonus minigame.
- In the bonus minigame, guide a fan along a track using the designated analog stick to the end within a time limit for bonus points (4,000 points).
- Generally, focus on hitting notes rather than the bonus, especially on higher difficulties, unless you miss a note or struggle with a section.
Completion Requirements:
- There are three songs, each with four difficulties.
- To achieve completion, you must reach the rank of "First Class" on all difficulties of all three songs.
- "First Class" requires a score better than the passing score.
Tips for Higher Difficulties
- Higher difficulties require splitting focus between the directional pad (left) and face buttons (right).
- When a string of notes ends with the Square/X or Right D-Pad, the game often switches to the other set of inputs (e.g., Right D-Pad/Square or X). This pattern helps predict input switches.
Completing Fubuki Kouta on Geisha Difficulty:
- Be aware of a tricky section at the end of the second verse with two notes, followed by another note, and then a single note. This pattern repeats.
- The ending features single notes in a circle on the right, followed by one final single note on the left.
Completing Heartbeat on Geisha Difficulty:
- This song is generally straightforward, but the ending can be challenging.
- Most notes are triplets initially. The tempo increases after a slowdown, with consecutive notes switching between buttons.
- The finale alternates between two buttons on either side (e.g., Right D-Pad and Square/X). It returns to consecutive notes, ends with two full circles (right then left), and a final note on the right.
Completing Samurai Enbu on Geisha Difficulty:
- This song has a section near the end that deviates from the usual patterns.
- It starts with many consecutive same notes. Pay attention when it switches to the left side.
