How to Defeat Zeretus

Zeretus is one of the tougher high-value targets you'll face in Halo Infinite, especially if you've been relying on air support. He's armed with a nasty M41 Tracker rocket launcher that can home in on your vehicle, making aerial assaults a risky business. Let's get you prepped to take him down.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weapon: Modified M41 SPNKR - Rocket Launcher (M41 Tracker) - fires rockets with tracking capabilities.
• Weakness: Relies on range, avoids close combat. Vulnerable to high-damage weapons when shields are down.

Phases:

1. Initial Engagement: Zeretus stays at range, using his M41 Tracker.
2. Closing the Distance: Zeretus needs to be approached to be defeated.

Strategy:

• Location: Zeretus is found northwest of Fob November, or northeast of Riven Gate.
• Vehicle Use: You can use a flying vehicle to get to his location, but exit it as soon as the fight begins. The M41 Tracker will destroy it easily, and if it explodes with you inside, you're dead.
• Defensive Position: Set up on the southeastern side of his patrol area. This area offers good cover from weapon racks and other Banished objects.
• Picking Off Allies: Use a precise weapon like the BR75 - Precision Rifle to take out Zeretus's regular Banished allies from your defensive spot. Throw grenades into the small groups they occupy on the ground.
• Using the Drop Wall: Deploy a Drop Wall for extra protection if you find yourself exposed. Keep an eye on its integrity and avoid damaged sections.
• Dodging Rockets: If Zeretus fires a rocket directly at you, use your Thruster to dodge at the last moment.
• Closing In: When it's time to finish Zeretus, he'll likely still be at a distance. Use powerful weapons like the Ravager or Cindershot to deal significant damage quickly.
• Best Weapon: The Arcane Sentinel Beam (acquired from fobs after defeating Thav ’Sebarim) is highly recommended. Despite its smaller magazine, it deals massive damage, capable of shredding Zeretus's shields and health in seconds if you aim well.
• Drop Wall Awareness: Continue to use the Drop Wall for cover, but always be mindful of which parts are breaking and avoid those areas.
