How to Defeat Tovarus & Hyperius

Learn the best strategies to defeat Tovarus and Hyperius in Halo Infinite. This guide covers their weaknesses, attack patterns, and recommended weapons like the Ravager.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Hyperius: Rides a modified Brute Chopper. Vulnerable to explosives and direct fire once dismounted. The Ravager is highly effective against his shields and health, and can destroy his vehicle quickly.
• Tovarus: Uses a jetpack for aerial mobility. Also vulnerable to the Ravager. More difficult to hit due to his movement.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Hyperius Engages. Hyperius charges in his Brute Chopper. Tovarus stays at a distance, firing from cover. Other Banished enemies (Brutes, Jackals, Grunts) may be present.
2. Phase 2: Tovarus Pursues. Once Hyperius is defeated, Tovarus will actively pursue the player, using his jetpack to fly and shoot.

Strategy:

• Dealing with Hyperius: Your primary goal is to remove Hyperius from his vehicle. You can do this by:
  • Hijacking the Chopper: Dodge the incoming vehicle, then quickly enter it as Hyperius struggles to turn. Throw him out.
  • Grappleshot: Use the Grappleshot to latch onto the vehicle and pull Hyperius out, or to quickly close the distance.
• Weapon Recommendations: The Ravager is extremely useful. It deals massive damage, quickly depletes shields, and is effective against both bosses and Hyperius's vehicle. Look for Ravagers on weapon racks in the area, using AI Scan if needed.
• Managing Tovarus: While dealing with Hyperius, Tovarus will fire from afar. Use cover or keep moving to avoid his shots.
• Post-Hyperius: Once Hyperius is defeated, Tovarus will become more aggressive. He'll use his jetpack to fly and shoot. The Ravager remains effective, but try to conserve ammo. Wait for Tovarus to land before committing to heavy fire. Use secondary weapons to maintain pressure.
• Utilizing the Environment: Use rocks and structures for cover against Tovarus's ranged attacks. When Tovarus lands, pursue him in the ruins of nearby ships.
