How to Defeat Skimmer Patrol

Alright, so you've stumbled upon the Skimmer Patrol, huh? No worries, these guys are actually one of the easier high-value targets in Halo Infinite, but you gotta be smart about it, especially on Legendary. The biggest headache here isn't the Skimmers themselves, but the tough elite Brute hanging out near the cave where the main Skimmer Alpha is chilling. This Brute can wreck you fast on higher difficulties, so taking him out first is key.

Pro-Tip: Before you even think about the Skimmers, find that elite Brute. Use your grenades and any power weapons you've got to take him down. Once he's out of the picture, you can focus on the rest of the squad.

You'll find the Skimmer Patrol north of FOB Juliet, down in the southern part of the map. Keep an eye out for the cave – that's where the Skimmer Alpha is hiding.

Skimmer Types & How to Handle Them

There are two main kinds of Skimmers you'll encounter:

• Close-Range Skimmers: These guys wear white coats and will rush you, sometimes right up to melee range. They're super easy to deal with – a quick melee attack or a headshot with a decent weapon will take them down instantly.
• Ranged Skimmers: These are the ones that hang back and shoot at you from a distance, darting between cover. They're a bit trickier, but a few well-placed grenades can clear them out quickly.

The Skimmer Alpha inside the cave isn't much tougher than the others. It'll take a few extra shots to bring down, but nothing you can't handle after dealing with the Brute.
