Nowi belongs to the Manakete class, which is pretty cool because they can attack from both close range and far away, kind of like a magic user. This makes her a bit better than the Taguel class, in my opinion. She can be a really useful unit to have on your team, but there's a catch: her Dragonstone, which she needs to fight, can run out. This can make it tough to train her up past a certain point, especially if you're trying to grind levels. Because of this, a lot of players end up reclassing her into something like a Wyvern Rider. She's got pretty solid stat growths all around, so no matter what you do, she'll likely be decent. Personally, I found myself benching her pretty early on in favor of other units, but that's just me!

It's worth mentioning that Nowi can be a bit of a controversial character. Some folks are a little uncomfortable with her childlike appearance and personality, even though the game makes it clear she's ancient. The game really leans into the fact that she's 1000 years old, but also emphasizes her immaturity. It really just comes down to personal preference, so don't sweat it too much.

Opinion

Manaketes are a nice class, as they can attack both short and far, like a magic user, making them superior to Taguel in a way. As such, she makes for a pretty useful unit, but, like the Taguel, may be limited in training due to her Dragonstone running out. This can make it difficult to grind past a certain level, and you may want to reclass her into something like a Wyvern Rider. She has stable stat growth all around. But, I benched her quickly in favor of other units.

She is also a controversial character from what I’ve seen, with people uncomfortable with her child-like demeanor (in looks and personality). While the game emphasizes that she’s 1000 years old, it also emphasizes her immaturity. I suppose it comes down to preference in this sense.
