Emmeryn

Emmeryn, Chrom's sister and former exalt, joins your team late in Fire Emblem: Awakening. Learn about her unique abilities, growth rates, and class options.

Emmeryn is Chrom's older sister and the former exalt of Ylisse. She's had a rough time, losing much of her memory and having trouble speaking after a fall in Plegia. Despite this, her heart is still full of love, and she's surprisingly hard to defeat!

You get Emmeryn pretty late in the game, as her Bonus Box sidequest only opens up near the end. Because of this, her starting stats might be a bit lower than other magic users you'd have by then. She can only support the Avatar, which is a bit of a curious choice by the developers since she's Chrom and Lissa's sister.

Her class options are somewhat limited, focusing on Cleric and Troubadour paths, which can lead to War Cleric or Sage. While these offer useful skills, they don't provide anything game-changing on their own.

The game does seem to have a habit of bringing characters back, which can make things feel a bit less impactful when someone falls in battle. Emmeryn's class selection is decent if you're aiming for a Sage build, but don't expect any major breakthroughs from her specific class path.
