Walkthrough
  1. 1
Save your game. Head left to find two locked doors. Search the wall between them; Selphie will mention needing an ID Card, which one of her companions provides.
  2. 2
Enter the left-most door and follow the walkway. Selphie will stop to discuss a guard. The dialogue choice doesn't prevent the guard from stopping you.
  3. 3
Continue right, down stairs, to find another Save Point. Save your game.
  4. 4
Descend from the save point and exit left. On the next screen, head down to find a Blind draw point.
  5. 5
Turn right and speak to one of the two Galbadian Soldiers near the railing. They will ask you to deliver a message to soldiers in the launcher bay to "go on ahead." Choose to "walk by quietly" to avoid suspicion.
  6. 6
Return to the screen with the Save Point. Note the guarded stairs (lower right), the important terminal (upper right), and the door to the launcher bay (upper center).
  7. 7
Enter the launcher bay and go up to find two Galbadian Soldiers and a hidden Full-Life draw point. Draw as many spells as possible.
  8. 8
Talk to the upper soldier and tell him "…To go on ahead." He'll state he's too busy.
  9. 9
Return to the soldiers who gave you the errand and inform them of the bad news. They will delegate the responsibility to you.
  10. 10
Return to the room with the Save Point, go upstairs, and head left to the room where the soldiers initially stopped you.
  11. 11
Talk to the soldier guarding the circuit room. He will leave, considering his shift over.
  12. 12
Enter the circuit room. Find a Blizzara draw point.
  13. 13
Approach the panel to the left. Choose either option. Then, choose either "Just press whatever!" or "Bang on it hard!" (mashing the [Talk] button, default Square) to sabotage the base.
  14. 14
When exiting the circuit room, lie to the guards to avoid blowing your cover and fighting.
  15. 15
Head back to the Save Point, approach the launch bay door, and you will be stopped by another soldier.
  16. 16
Choose "Play it cool" and "Help out" to avoid suspicion and enter the launch bay.
  17. 17
Talk to the soldier not pushing the missile. Go between the soldiers pushing the missile and mash the [Talk] button (Square) to help push it.
  18. 18
Talk to the soldier who directed the pushing and he will instruct you to "confirm the coordinates on the control panel."
  19. 19
Leave the launch bay, head right, and interact with the console. Select "Target," then "Set Error Ratio." Hold the [Right] button on the D-Pad/Analog stick to set the error ratio to maximum.
  20. 20
Exit the console menu. Select "Data Upload," then "Yes" to confirm the new settings.
  21. 21
Exit the control panel. Head down, then up to the stairs at the bottom right. You will be stopped by a soldier (unless you blew your cover earlier). Bluff your way past him.
  22. 22
You will eventually be stopped by the commander. After a magical flash, you will be back in your normal area.
Tips
  • Save your game frequently at the available Save Points.
  • Draw as many Full-Life spells as possible from the hidden draw point in the launcher bay.
  • When sabotaging the circuit room, mashing the [Talk] button (Square) is required if you choose the "Bang on it hard!" option.
  • Lying to guards after exiting the circuit room and playing it cool near the launch bay door are crucial for avoiding unnecessary combat.
  • Setting the error ratio to maximum and uploading the data is vital for the success of Balamb Garden.
Successfully sabotaging the Missile Base and uploading the corrupted data aids Balamb Garden's defense.
