How to Beat Boss: The Blightheart

Defeat The Blightheart in Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream. Learn a key tactic to counter its Root Slam and Spore Cloud attacks in the Whispering Woods.

Location: Deep within the Whispering Woods, at the end of Chapter 1.
Description: A massive, corrupted treant, the source of the blight affecting the woods. It's slow but incredibly powerful, with a thick, bark-like hide.
Phases:

• Phase 1 (75-100% Health): The Blightheart primarily uses 'Root Slam' (AoE attack around itself) and 'Spore Cloud' (releases a toxic cloud that deals DoT). Stay at medium range, dodging the Root Slam and moving out of the Spore Cloud. Focus on hitting its exposed roots when it slams.
• Phase 2 (25-75% Health): It gains 'Vine Lash' (a long-range whip attack) and summons 'Blightlings' (small, fast-moving adds). Prioritize taking out the Blightlings quickly to avoid being overwhelmed. Continue dodging Vine Lash and hitting the roots.
• Phase 3 (0-25% Health): The Blightheart becomes enraged, increasing its attack speed and damage. It also gains 'Blight Nova' (a large, slow-casting AoE that covers most of the arena). When you see it charging Blight Nova, run to the very edge of the arena to avoid it. This phase is a DPS race; use all your abilities and consumables.

Weakness: Fire Damage. Equip any fire-enchanted weapons or use 'Flame Burst' spells. 'Fire Grenades' are highly effective.
Strategy: Maintain distance, prioritize dodging, and focus on its roots. Use fire damage whenever possible. Save your 'Dream State' for Phase 3 to burst it down quickly. Keep healing potions on your quick-slot bar.
Rewards: 1500 XP, 'Blightheart Seed' (Crafting Material), 'Rootbound Axe' (Legendary Axe: +Fire Damage).
