Dragon Quest III: Find Norvik's Treasures

Alright, so you've just arrived in Norvik, and you'll quickly notice something's off – everyone's frozen solid! Don't worry, we'll get them moving again. Let's do a quick sweep of the town to grab some useful items before we figure out what's going on.

Walkthrough

Start from the east entrance. Head south from the path and check the tree for a Moonwort Bulb.

Go all the way north. Behind a house, you'll find a barrel containing Special Medicine.

Enter that house and search the pot inside to get a Seed of Strength.

Exit the house and go west. Enter the Item Shop. Look for a pot along the east wall – it's got 22 Gold in it.

Step out of the shop and go a few paces south. Right next to a rock wall, you'll see two wooden spikes sticking out of the ground. Search them for 143 Gold.

Head southeast from there to a fenced-in area next to a building. Search the barrel inside for Coagulant. Now, enter this building – it's the Inn.

Head up to the second floor of the Inn. In the top right room, search the drawer for a Leather Kilt.

Still on the second floor, look for the chimney. Hanging from it is a wall bag holding Mini Medal #13.

In the bottom right room on this floor, there's a pot with 47 Gold.

The left room on the second floor has a drawer containing a Wizard's Staff. Now you can exit the Inn.

The last building to check is in the southwest corner of town. Go into the kitchen and search the pot on the northern wall for a Seed of Agility.

Head upstairs in this building. To the left of the chimney, there's a bookcase. Searching it gives you "The Saddest Story Ever Told", which teaches the Crybaby personality.

Finally, search the chest to the east for a Sage's Elixir.

After all that searching, go talk to the man in town. He'll explain that you need to return a Dreamstone to the Faeries to cheer them up and break the spell. Once you've got that info, exit Norvik. Head west through the fields until you hit the forest. Keep going west into the forest, and you'll find a special tree that leads to the hidden Fairie Village.

Tips

Don't forget to check every pot, barrel, and drawer! You'd be surprised what you can find.
Keep hold of those Mini Medals; they're important for later!
The items you find here, like the Seed of Strength and Seed of Agility, are great for boosting your stats early on.
