Learn how to easily defeat the enemies in Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, including Prinnies and Geo Effects. Get tips for Chapter 11-12.
Alright, let's talk about the enemies you'll face in this section. You've got a mix of Lv. 50 General Prinnies (four of them) and Lv. 35 Private Prinnies (six of them). Don't let the Geo Effects on the map scare you at first glance; they're actually pretty manageable once you know what to do.
The main things to watch out for are the 20% Recovery and Clone Geo Effects. The Clone effect is the one that sounds dangerous because it'll create a copy of anyone standing on it, friend or foe. But here's the good news: it only makes one clone per turn. Since you can usually take down a single enemy in one turn, this isn't as big a threat as it seems. Just focus on taking out that one clone if it appears.
Your priority should be to eliminate the four General Prinnies positioned at the corners of the central platform as quickly as you can. For this, you'll want to lean on your strongest attacks. Etna's Avalanche is fantastic here, as is Laharl's Hurricane Slash. If you have characters who specialize in fists, axes, or guns, use their best skills. Skills like King of Beasts and Bullet Storm are incredibly effective if you have them.
As for the six Prinnies on the back wall, they're pretty much the same pushovers they've been before. They'll often end up in a clump that just begs for an area-of-effect attack like Apocalypse. You won't be able to finish this whole battle in a single turn, so be prepared to deal with any clones that get created. If you're a bit underleveled, this is a great place to rack up some bonus EXP and items. If you're already way overleveled, well, you might be a little bored!
