Walkthrough
- 1When you approach the first turret, use Spy Drone or explosives to disable it. If you hacked the Terminal at the start of the Ocean Lab, this turret will be deactivated.
- 2In the Northeast corner, a 80% Strength Locked door contains two crates with a BALLISTIC ARMOR and a THERMOPTIC CAMO. This door can be unlocked with your Keyring if you took the Nanokey from the South wing.
- 3Near the first turret, the East room contains a newspaper and two lockers with TECH GOGGLES and a MULTITOOL. The West room has lockers with 10MM AMMO and a STEALTH PISTOL and a LASER WEAPON MODIFICATION.
- 4Read the newspaper for updates on the current world events.
- 5Find and use the Deep Lift to descend to the lowest level of the Ocean Lab.
- 6Be cautious of a GAS GRENADE on the East wall. Continue past the loading screen to find a DataCube.
- 7Avoid the blue lasers by bypassing the 100% Strength Control Panel, using Spy Drone, or explosives. These lasers summon four small Arcbots.
- 8Continue East through the room; there is no resistance.
- 9In the next room, a massive Model 5 Chiang Arcbot is present. Use Spy Drone or explosives to defeat it. To the East is the UC and an elevator to its control. Smaller elevators on both sides lead to guarded items.
- 10To the South is a room guarded by three small Arcbots. Use a competent Spy Drone Augmentation or a Scramble Grenade to deal with them. Treasures include an EMP GRENADE, two BIOELECTRIC CELLS, and a GAS GRENADE.
- 11To the North is a radioactive room. Environmental Resistance or a Hazmat Suit can mitigate damage. Crates contain a LOCKPICK and two MULTITOOLS.
- 12Head to the large elevator to the East. Before summoning it, dive into the water to find an UPGRADE CANISTER on the body of a Man in Black and a DataCube with the MJ12/SKYWALKER login combo on the floor.
- 13Summon the elevator and ride it to the top.
- 14In the next room, automated turrets are on either side. Take cover behind the screens. The terminal can extend the bridge to the East, responding to MJ12/SKYWALKER. Destroy the turrets with rockets, Spy Drone, or Rader Transparency. A body on the South side holds a BIOELECTRIC CELL, and another on the North side holds a MEDKIT. The Computer offers no items. If you have Level 2 Speed Enhancement, you can leap across without the bridge.
- 15Find the Repair Bot and the UC. Use MJ12/SKYWALKER on the computer to send Gary Savage the UC Schematics, and he will give you a copy.
- 16Return to the communicator. Bob Page will summon you. Continue past the Crew Modules to trigger the encounter with Walton Simons.
Tips
- Spy Drone is highly effective against turrets and Arcbots.
- Explosives can disable turrets and bypass laser traps.
- A Scramble Grenade can turn Arcbots against each other.
- Environmental Resistance or a Hazmat Suit is recommended for the radioactive room.
- If you have Level 2 Speed Enhancement, you can bypass the need for the extended bridge.
- Upgrade Power Recirculator is a good early-game augmentation choice.
- Walton Simons has Ballistic Protection, Energy Shield, Targeting, and Cloak Augmentations. Explosives can still be effective as he does not use Aggressive Defense System.
