Detailed Deus Ex walkthrough for Part 69, covering Paris. Includes objectives, item locations, enemy strategies, and secrets for navigating Building #14, the metro station, and more.
Walkthrough
- 1After dealing with the Greasels, ascend the stairs to find Aimee again. Tell her about the Greasels to gain 200 SP and update her on the situation.
- 2Return to the previous area, heal at the Repair Bot, and descend into the sewers. Exit to the West, finding a LOCKPICK in a hole in the North wall and another LOCKPICK in a crate.
- 3Reach the manhole cover and exit to the streets of Paris. Tong will contact you, and you'll gain 50 SP for reaching the area.
- 4The street is patrolled by three MJ12 Commandos, one carrying the CATACOMBS ENTRY KEY. Buildings accessible are the Catacombs (NE), Building #14 (SW), and the metro station (NW). A crate in the street contains TECH GOGGLES.
- 5Focus on Building #14. The front door has a 50% Str Lock and requires an explosive to breach, which will alert Commandos. Use Lockpicks to open it quietly. A Repair Bot is nearby.
- 6Inside Building #14, avoid making noise to prevent outside Commandos from entering. On the ground floor, there's a locked office. The storage room below can be skipped.
- 7On the next level up, find a BIOELECTRIC CELL behind a Houseplant. Open a 20% Str Lock cabinet to find a 300 CREDIT CHIT, a MULTITOOL, the WAREHOUSE NANOKEY, and a DataCube with the security passcode RZELAZNY/SHADOWJACK.
- 8Use the security information on the Security Terminal to disable two cameras and a turret, and open blast doors to the Warehouse. Descend two levels.
- 9On the way to the Warehouse, a large window can be broken to trigger an alarm. If the doors aren't open, use the Nanokey.
- 10In the Warehouse area, find a Repair Bot, the OFFICE NANOKEY on a Push-Cart, and three crates containing a LAW, an EMP GRENADE, and a BIOELECTRIC CELL.
- 11Return to ground level and find the Office door. Use your Keyring to open it. The phone will ring; pick it up to speak with Icarus.
- 12Find a DataCube beneath the desk mentioning a new account: 2221969/DULLBILL.
- 13Leave Building #14 and find the Subway entrance. Locate Defoe, a French arms dealer, at 'Boulangerie Centrale'.
- 14You can speak to Defoe about Silhouette. He offers to let you kill MJ12 troopers in the metro station.
- 15Secondary Goal: Kill the three MJ12 soldiers in the metro station and report back to Defoe.
- 16Defoe offers ROCKETS (5250 credits), a RECOIL WEAPON MODIFICATION (1200 credits), and LAMs (6750 credits). These are expensive.
- 17In the metro hall, find a FLARE. In the NE corners are crawling tunnels to locked grates. Two ATM machines are to the West, overlooked by a 65% Str Camera that triggers a turret if it sees you.
- 18Find the passageway to the North to locate the MJ12 soldiers. There are two soldiers here, not three.
- 19A Bravo-3 Peacebringer patrols this area. Use an EMP Grenade or explosive to deal with it. Crates contain 30.06 AMMO and 7.62x51MM AMMO.
- 20In the adjacent room to the North, three crates contain 10MM AMMO, DARTS, and a BIOELECTRIC CELL.
- 21Two MJ12 troopers guard a door in the NE corner. One has a Flamethrower. Taking them down appeases Defoe; one carries a LAM. You can knock them unconscious.
