Your expert guide to Destiny's 'A Rising Tide' mission. Learn enemy tactics, locate objectives, and defeat the Prohibitive Mind.
Alright, Guardian, let's tackle 'A Rising Tide.' This mission will have you pushing through some familiar Vex territory. Stick with me, and we'll get through it smoothly.
Walkthrough
- 1First up, you need to make your way down to the Buried City. It's a bit of a trek from where you start. As you approach, you'll run into a Major Harpy, a Minotaur, and a bunch of other Vex right at the entrance. Take them all out. Once cleared, head into the left corridor. More Goblins will start spawning here, and the area gets pretty dark. You'll need to defeat the Vex in this dark section, but don't worry too much – their eyes glow, making them easier to spot.
- 2Push forward into the Freehold Station lobby. You'll see Vex spawning, including Harpies and more Goblins. There are plenty of enemies here, so use the available cover to your advantage. A well-placed Grenade or Super Ability could clear out a good chunk of them, but you might want to save your Super for the Cyclops that's waiting further ahead. Keep moving down the corridor towards Tharsis Junction. You'll see more Vex dropping onto the train tracks as you get closer.
- 3As you move through the train cars in Tharsis Junction, keep an eye out for the Vex Transfer Gate. It's usually in the far right corner. Your priority is to destroy this gate from a distance before it can keep summoning more Vex. Once that's down, focus on the remaining enemies. Watch out for Hobgoblins and Harpies that might still be coming from another Transfer Gate. In the back of this area, you'll find a more open space with three more Transfer Gates. These are prime targets for your Heavy Weapons or Sniper Rifles.
- 4Now, save your Super Ability for the main event: the Prohibitive Mind. This is a Major Minotaur, and it's going to show up with a few other Vex buddies. They'll all come at you once you destroy the final Transfer Gate. After you've dealt with the boss and its adds, your Ghost will need to investigate the Conflux. Once that's done, you'll need to return to your Vanguard Mentor back at the Tower.
