Walkthrough
  1. 1
Access the Element Grid by selecting “Elements” from the main menu while exploring, then choose “Allocate”.
  2. 2
On the right pane, you can use “Remove All” to clear all Elements from a character or “Remove” to clear individual Elements.
  3. 3
Pressing Right from these options reveals “Auto Allocate” (assigns Elements to existing and empty slots for a character or the whole party) and “Fill Blanks” (assigns Elements only to empty slots for a character or the whole party).
  4. 4
Scroll down to manually select Elements from your inventory and place them in existing or empty slots.
  5. 5
Press Left from “Remove All/Remove” or Right from “Auto-Allocate/Fill Blank” to scroll through the character’s Element Grid at each Level, allowing manual removal of assigned Elements.

How to Expand the Element Grid:

  1. Obtain Growth Stars by defeating bosses.
  2. Additional slots may be added to every character’s Element Grid upon obtaining a Growth Star.
  3. Note that each character’s Element Grid growth is different and slots are not added simultaneously for all characters.

How to Modify Elements (and Restrictions):

  1. Each Element has a Level X +/- Y value.
  2. The X value is the Element’s standard Level position on the grid. Placing it here results in standard efficiency.
  3. The Y value indicates the Level range from the default position where the Element can be placed.
  4. Placing an Element in a position lower than its default Level reduces its efficiency.
  5. Placing an Element in a position higher than its default Level increases its efficiency.
  6. For each Level position above or below the default, the Element’s efficiency is increased or decreased by 25%.
  7. For example, Electro-Jolt is Lv. 2 +/- 6. Placing it at Level 2 gives standard efficiency. Placing it at Level 1 (Level 2 - 1) gives Electro-Jolt -1, dealing 25% less damage. Placing it at Level 8 (Level 2 + 6) gives Electro-Jolt +6, dealing 150% more damage.
Tips
  • The Element Level increases as you go right on the grid, from 1 to 8. Higher Element Levels mean stronger Elements.
  • The rows of the Element Grid primarily provide more space to assign Elements.
  • The placement of Elements on the grid is very important for their effectiveness.
