Complete the Assassin's Creed II Far From The Tree mission by finding the monk without a hood in Forli and dealing with guards.
- 1The church area is a restricted zone. You will encounter two patrols. You can either kill them or avoid them.
- 2On the right side of the church/abbey, you will find a monk being accosted by two guards. Kill both guards to trigger a cutscene (a short, unskippable scene shown during gameplay).
- 3Return to Forli and head to the abbey in the center of the city.
- 4Upon arrival, three monks will appear. After a cutscene, they will scatter.
- 5All three monks will appear as targets on your minimap (a small map usually in the corner of your HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap), showing your immediate surroundings and nearby objectives).
- 6You need to chase the monk who does not have a hood.
- 7Tackle the hooded monk. Be aware that this chase can be annoying, and he may run out of the city, requiring you to pursue him further.
- 8Once you catch him, you will learn the name of the man who took the Apple of Eden.
- 9This concludes Sequence 12.
- The church area is restricted, so be prepared for guards.
- Focus on the monk without a hood; the others are not your target for this part.
- If the target flees the city, continue the chase to apprehend him.
Note: Sequence 13, "Bonfire at the Vanities," requires the DLC (Downloadable Content - extra game content not part of the original release) and is separate from Sequence 12. If you have completed Sequence 14, you will play Sequence 13 immediately after Sequence 12 without needing to restart the game. Upon starting Sequence 13, you return to Florence to find Savonarola, the monk who stole the Apple of Eden. Follow the marker on your screen.
