Where to Get Iron Ore

Find Iron Ore in v rising at the Haunted Iron Mine, Cursed Forest, and Dunley Farmlands. Requires Gear Level 12 weapon.

As you progress in v rising, Copper weapons will become insufficient against tougher enemies. Iron Ingots are crucial for many castle recipes, making Iron Ore a vital resource to farm. You'll need a weapon with at least Gear Level 12, ideally the Merciless Copper Mace, to mine Iron Ore.

The best Iron Ore locations in v rising are:

• Haunted Iron Mine
• Cursed Forest
• Dunley Farmlands

The Haunted Iron Mine is a large Point of Interest (POI) rich in Iron Ore but can be highly contested on PvP servers. Alternatively, you can find random spawns in the Dunley Farmlands, or brave the Cursed Forest for more ore, though it contains higher-level foes.

The Haunted Iron Mine Location

The Haunted Iron Mine is located in the center of the southern region of Dunley Farmlands. Approaching from the north, you may encounter patrolling bandits or skeletons. After clearing the area, break everything and check nearby tents for potential chests containing Iron Ore. Inside the mine, which is larger than the Bandit Copper Mine, be aware of your surroundings, especially if you are solo and around Gear Levels 35-50. You will encounter patrolling Skeletons and a dangerous Elite Enemy, the Undead Commander. The primary threat is Meredith the Bright Archer, a level 52 V Blood Carrier and challenging boss; avoid her attention. Watch out for toxic eruptions that periodically burst from the mine floor, causing damage over time. The Haunted Iron Mine has more Iron Ore nodes than the Bandit Copper Mine, and its size allows for respawns by the time you complete a loop, especially if you break objects and loot chests.

Dunley Farmlands & Cursed Forest

While less reliable than the Haunted Iron Mine, keep an eye out for Iron Ore nodes while traveling through the Dunley Farmlands. The Cursed Forest also contains Iron Ore, but with higher-level enemies. You can use the v rising Interactive Map to find known Iron Ore node locations and plan farming routes, which is useful if the Haunted Mine is contested on PvP servers.

Sending Servants on Hunts

Once you can craft Servant Coffins (requiring Greater Blood Essences), you can use Dominating Presence to charm Servants. Building a Castle Throne allows you to send Servants on resource gathering missions. Equip them well and send them to the Haunted Iron Mine; they can bring back over 600+ Iron Ore depending on their Traits and the duration of the hunt, offering a good passive income of iron.

What is Iron Ore Used For?

Iron Ore is refined into Iron Ingots using a Furnace. To unlock the Furnace recipe, you need to progress a bit and establish a Castle with a Castle Heart. Crafting the Furnace requires 480 Stone and 60 Copper Ore. Building a Forge Room can provide perks that decrease refining time and material costs for recipes within that room. Consider building multiple Furnaces to refine materials simultaneously.
