How to Deal with Holy Radiation

Learn how to negate Holy Radiation in v rising. The Holy Resistance Potion grants 50 Holy resistance for 30 minutes.

When you progress out of Farbane Woods and head into the Dunley Farmlands, you’ll find certain areas that inflict the Holy Radiation debuff. This debuff drains your health over time until you leave the area or run out of health. Symbols on pillars indicate the presence of Holy Radiation.

Holy Radiation drains approximately 10 health per second at 0 Holy resistance. Increasing your Holy Resistance reduces this damage. For example, at 50 Holy Resistance, you can explore the Dunley Monastery without taking damage from Holy Radiation.

To negate Holy Radiation, you can avoid areas with it, or increase your Holy Resistance through equipment, consumables, and powers. The Holy Resistance Potion grants 50 Holy resistance for 30 minutes, allowing exploration of most areas earlier. Crafting this potion requires two scourgestones, which are difficult to obtain early on.

Your resistances are displayed on the character screen, to the right of your equipment. Increasing your Holy Resistance reduces damage from Holy attacks and negates damage from Holy Radiation. At 50 Holy Resistance, you take 25% less damage from Holy attacks and negate up to 10 damage from Holy Radiation.

There are temporary buffs from consumables and permanent solutions from gear with Holy Resistance +X. Consumables offer buffs lasting up to 30 minutes, while equipment provides a more permanent increase.

All Holy Resistance Consumables:

• Holy Resistance Potion: Increases Holy Resistance rating by 50 for 1800 seconds (30 mins). This is a reward from defeating V-Boss Christina the Sun Priestess (Level 44). The recipe requires 45 x Mourning Lily, 2 x Scourgestone, and 1 x Water-filled bottle. It can be crafted at an Alchemy Table, which is a reward from defeating V-Boss Clive the Firestarter (Level 30).
