Finn the Fisherman Boss Guide

Alright, so you're ready to take on Finn the Fisherman? He's not the toughest V Blood boss out there, but he can definitely catch you off guard if you're not prepared. My advice? Make sure your gear is at least level 30+. Crafting the Nightstalker set from the simple workbench is a solid way to get there. And for weapons, bring along the Merciless Copper Longbow or Crossbow – ranged is definitely your friend here.

Once you're geared up, open your V Blood Menu and track Finn. He hangs out at the fishing lake, which is pretty easy to find – it's southwest of the Hallowed Mountains. Just head there and get ready!

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Recommended Gear Level: 30+
• Recommended Weapons: Merciless Copper Longbow, Crossbow
• Weakness: Ranged combat is highly effective.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Ranged Harassment & Fish Summons: Finn stays at a distance, using his fish summons.
2. Phase 2: Close-Quarters Combat & Physical Attacks: If you get too close, Finn switches to physical attacks.

Strategy:

• Keep Your Distance: Seriously, this is the golden rule. Finn is much easier to handle when you're not right in his face. Use your bow or crossbow to chip away at his health from afar. This gives you plenty of time to react to his attacks.
• Deal with the Fish: Finn's main gimmick is summoning fish, and they're not just for show.
  • Pufferfish: These guys explode when you defeat them, so try to take them out from a distance to avoid the blast.
  • Piranhas: They'll swarm you and nibble away at your health. A couple of quick sword swipes should take care of them.
  • Serpent: This one pops up in the middle of the arena and tries to bite. Keep moving and firing spells at it.
• Watch Out for Physical Attacks: If you do get too close, Finn has a few moves. He's got a basic slash and kick that don't do too much damage, but he also has a whirlwind attack that hits hard. After the whirlwind, he'll often try to throw a net. If that net catches you, you'll be pulled right to him, leaving you super vulnerable. Staying mobile and keeping your distance is key to avoiding all of this.
• Stay Mobile: Don't just stand still! Keep moving around the arena, especially to dodge Finn's net attack. Being on the move makes you a much harder target.
