In V Rising, there are nine distinct blood types that players can consume from enemies, each offering unique passive buffs and effects. The potency of these buffs scales with the Blood Quality of the consumed blood. You can check the blood type and quality of your last meal from the Blood Pool interface.
The blood types are:
- Creature: Found on wildlife.
- Worker: Found on civilians in villages.
- Scholar: Found on mages in mid to late-game zones.
- Warrior: Found on melee units in bandit camps and points of interest.
- Rogue: Found on bandits, including fast melee attackers and archers.
- Brute: Found on bruiser-type enemies in low-level bandit camps and high-level faction areas.
- Mutant: Found on mutated variants of enemies in late-game areas.
- Draculin: Found on Legion of Noctum enemies, such as the Night Maiden.
- Frail: The default blood type obtained from items like rats or Blood Essence, offering no bonuses.
When you drink the blood of an enemy, you refill your blood pool. Upon completing a cast, you gain the blood type of the creature you drank from, along with its percentage. The type and percentage are visible when hovering over an enemy's nameplate.
