Guide to ULTRAKILL's 7-1: Garden of Forking Paths. Learn about Mannequins, the Minotaur boss, the Big Johninator secret encounter, and collectable locations.
Walkthrough
- 1Exit the elevator into a white courtyard and enter the marble labyrinth.
- 2In the first room, the left doors close, and the right doors are locked. Proceed through the center doors into a gallery with six Mannequins.
- 3Reach the end of the gallery to find a red pedestal. Return to the first room; the previously locked door is now open.
- 4Navigate the narrow corridor, wall-jumping to the upper floor. Enter the intersection room with an Alpha (α) button and a blue pedestal.
- 5Pressing the Alpha button unlocks a door elsewhere. Find a book with lore about the Garden.
- 6Return to the first room to find the previously locked door open. Proceed to find a kneeling Mannequin with a Red Skull Key.
- 7Take the Red Skull Key to trigger the first Mannequin encounter. They will surround you but not attack.
- 8Return to the Mannequin gallery room and use the Red Skull Key on the red pedestal. This triggers an ambush by six Mannequins. Defeat them to proceed.
- 9Descend the split staircase into a room with a walkway. Mannequins will ambush from below.
- 10Continue through the labyrinth, eventually reaching a large room with a tram cart.
- 11Board the tram cart to proceed to the next area.
- 12The next section involves navigating more corridors and rooms, encountering various enemies including Drones, Soldiers, and Streetcleaners.
- 13You will eventually reach the Minotaur boss arena. Defeat the Minotaur.
- 14After defeating the Minotaur, continue through the level. You will find the secret encounter with the Big Johninator.
- 15Collect the remaining collectibles and proceed to the end of the level.
Tips
- Mannequins are fast and can climb walls/ceilings. They attack with swipes or by firing Hell Seekers.
- Hitting a Mannequin on a wall stuns them temporarily.
- Sawblade traps are effective against Mannequins due to their tendency to chase.
- Homing projectiles are easier to parry due to their slower speed and tracking.
- Beat the secret encounter (Big Johninator) for a challenge reward.
