Drones are your versatile, albeit sometimes suicidal, companions in ULTRAKILL's chaotic arenas. Understanding how to effectively utilize and protect them is key to maximizing your offensive output and controlling enemy engagement. The most common drone is the Malicious Face, which fires a steady stream of projectiles. While seemingly simple, its positioning is crucial. Try to keep it in a flanking position, forcing enemies to divide their attention. If a drone is taking heavy fire, consider using your Grapple Hook to pull it to a safer location or even to yourself for a quick escape.

The Stalker Drone, while less common, offers unique tactical advantages. Its ability to latch onto enemies and deal continuous damage can be invaluable for softening up tougher targets or finishing off weakened foes. However, it's also incredibly fragile. Prioritize its survival by drawing aggro away from it or by using it on enemies that are already engaged with you or other drones. Remember that drones can be destroyed, and while they respawn, it's a loss of immediate combat pressure. Don't sacrifice them needlessly.

Beyond direct combat, drones can also serve as distractions. A well-placed drone can draw the attention of a group of weaker enemies, allowing you to focus on a more dangerous threat like a Cerberus or a Malicious Face of your own. Experiment with drone placement in different arena layouts. Some areas might benefit from a drone covering a high ground vantage point, while others might require them to be used to block off enemy pathways.
